Snowshoe Hike: Unburying the Mysteries of the Post Cemetery

Join us as we explore the Fort Ontario Post Cemetery in winter! A brief presentation on some of the stories of the lives and deaths of the people buried at the cemetery will be followed by a snowshoe hike around the Fort and up to the Post Cemetery on the bluff. Environmental Educators will be on hand to answer questions and help with snowshoes. If there isn't enough snow, this will be a regular hike. Please wear appropriate winter boots and warm layers. It's windy on the bluff! Meet in the Enlisted Men's Barracks to the right after you enter the Fort. Please call 315-400-3890 to reserve snowshoes by noon on Thursday, Feb 6th.
