Raised as an auxiliary force for General Washington's Continental Army in 1777,
Spencer's Additional Regiment was a part of the New Jersey Brigade throughout the war. The members of this reenactment regiment will take up residence in our Soldiers' Camp by the museum and explain the unit's fascinating history, perform drills and fire muskets throughout the day. The unit served at the American garrison at Stony Point in 1780
during the Benedict Arnold treason affair and trial in Tappan, NY.
