The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation has announced that a public information meeting to gather input regarding an amendment to the master plan for Minnewaska State Park Preserve has been set.
This meeting is to review possible changes in the Lake Minnewaska Area involving parking changes, visitor center and other infrastructure changes from the original conceptual master plan layout.
The purpose of this public information meeting is to invite public comment on the proposed draft amendment to the master plan. The meeting will be held Wednesday August 12, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on the SUNY New Paltz campus Lecture Center in room 102. The meeting will begin with a presentation of the proposed amendment and followed by the recording of public comments.
A public information packet for the meetings is posted on the agency website at http://www.nysparks.com/inside-our-agency/master-plans.aspx. Those unable to attend in person may submit written comment until Wednesday August 26, 2015. Please send them to:
