The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic
Preservation (OPRHP) has completed a Draft Master Plan and Draft
Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for Johnson Hall State Historic Site. A public meeting on the Draft Master Plan and DEIS will be
hosted online, Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at 4:30 p.m. This meeting will be
recorded and made publicly available.
Johnson Hall State
Historic Site is the former residence of Sir William Johnson, a promiment 18
th
century landowner and Colonial official during settlement of the Mohawk
Valley. The site has drawn more than a half-million visitors since 2010.
During the meeting, Parks' staff will make a
presentation about the Draft Master Plan and be available for a question and
answer session afterward. Free registration in advance of the online meeting
is required in order to attend. To register, please e-mail

p.m.
OPRHP encourages the public to participate in the online public meeting for
the Historic Site and welcomes all comments on the draft documents. An online
version of the draft Master Plan and DEIS is available at the following

Signage and posters of the Draft Master Plan will be posted on-site at

starting on Wednesday, July 22, 2020
Written comments on the Draft Master Plan/DEIS
will be accepted until close of business on Wednesday, August 12
th,
2020, and may be submitted to
JohnsonHall.plan@parks.ny.gov or mailed to the contact address below. Following
the comment period, OPRHP will prepare and post a Final Master Plan and
Environmental Impact Statement.
