The New York State Heritage Areas Advisory Council will meet at Peebles Island State Park in Waterford on June 19, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. There will be news from Heritage Areas throughout the state and discussion of recent state and federal heritage activity.
New York State has twenty Heritage Areas, each working to develop, preserve and promote the historic, cultural and natural resources that create its distinctive identity. The Advisory Council advises and guides the State Parks agency and the Heritage Area communities on issues relating to the Heritage Area Program.
The meeting is open to the public.
