(Moreau, NY) – The State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is holding a public forum to discuss plans for habitat restoration for Big Bend Preserve, a recent addition to Moreau Lake State Park. The 860+ acre parcel is located on the north side of Butler and Old Bend Roads. The meeting will take place at the Moreau Town Hall in the courtroom on November 16th, starting at 6:00 PM.

The forum will provide information on the ecological restoration plan including the use of prescribed burns for this recently added expansion of Moreau Lake State Park. Additionally, there will be an opportunity for public input on future recreation and time for questions at the end. The office will have several ecological and recreation experts present to field questions. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the environmental aspects and restoration plans of the Big Bend Park Preserve.

This event is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.
