The State Board for Historic Preservation is an independent panel of experts whose function is to advise and provide recommendations on state and federal preservation programs. The board meets four times a year and the meetings are open to the public.
The Board will review and make recommendations on properties for nomination to the State and National Registers of Historic Places. The Registers are the official lists of buildings structures, landscapes, objects and sites significant in the history, architecture, archeology and culture of New York and the nation.
Directions: Take the NYS Thruway to exit 19. At the traffic circle take Washington Avenue. At the 2nd traffic light, turn left onto Schwenk Drive, follow 0.3 miles to Senate House.
