The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (State Parks) invites the public to review and comment on a proposal to revitalize Roberto Clemente State Park, including the park bulkhead, esplanade, lower plaza and northern shoreline. Two public information meetings will be held in the park on Thursday, June 19 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm and again from 6 to 8 pm.
The open house format will offer members of the community a chance to review the proposed vision and discuss the draft plan with presenters. State Parks may apply for up to $46.5 million in Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Relief (CDBG-DR) funds for the project. More information is available on the project at http://www.governor.ny.gov/press/06062014-strengthen-roberto-clemente-park
The meetings will be held in the Roberto Clemente State Park Gym, 301 West Tremont Avenue, Bronx, NY 10453. People unable to attend the meeting may submit comments to: RobertoClemente.Plan@parks.ny.gov. Comments will be accepted until July 3, 2014.
