"I am deeply disturbed by the repeated acts of hateful vandalism at Nissequogue River State Park. Parks are places for all to feel welcome, safe and inspired and where our communities come together. I join with Governor Cuomo in condemning the acts of bigotry and ignorance. In cooperation with State Police, our State Park Police are treating these crimes with utmost urgency. We are increasing patrols at the site immediately, and will be reviewing additional measures to increase security as well as create a more welcoming atmosphere at Nissequogue River State Park."
