NEW MANAGER NAMED AT LETCHWORTH STATE PARK

(Niagara Falls, New York, May 14, 1998...) New York State Parks Commissioner Bernadette Castro today announced the appointment of Mt. Morris resident Richard E. Parker as the park manager at Letchworth State Park.

"We are proud to have Rich promoted from his assistant park manager position at Letchworth to this new position," said Commissioner Castro. "His 20 years of experience in state parks give him an enormous amount of experience to fulfill his duties."

A 1984 graduate of the State University of Geneseo, Parker has held positions at Hamlin Beach State Park and Niagara Reservation State Park along with several previous positions at Letchworth State Park.

"We have a world-class park at Letchworth and I'm totally confident that Rich will initiate improvements that will benefit the park and the one million plus patrons that visit it every year," Castro added.

Parker currently serves on the Livingston County Tourism Committee, Livingston County Planning Committee and as the Genesee Region representative to the state park facility manager's committee.
