Statement from Acting Commissioner Andy Beers on Operational Reductions and the Empire State Games
Due to New York State's fiscal crisis, the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, along with other state agencies, has instituted a number of operational reductions. The changes are outlined below:
Knox Farms State Park in East Aurora, New York will be closed.
The Empire State Game program has been discontinued. For information about a Winter Games program being conducted by the Olympic Regional Development Authority and local municipalities and entities in Lake Placid in February 2011, please visit www.empirestatewintergames.com. Please check the website again for links to prior year Games' results.
