New York State Historic Preservation Office Director Receives National Award
New York State Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation Acting Deputy Commissioner Ruth L. Pierpont received a national award from Secretary of Interior Ken Salazar, recognizing her leadership of New York's State Historic Preservation Office.
"Congratulations to Ruth for this well-deserved recognition," said State Parks Commissioner Rose Harvey. "The award is a testament to Ruth's leadership as well as the hard work of the entire SHPO staff, which make New York's historic preservation program one of the strongest and most effective in the nation."
