Public Hearing Set on Grafton Lakes State Park Draft Master Plan

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation will hold a public hearing on a Draft Master Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for Grafton Lakes State Park at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29 at the Everett Wager Senior Center in Grafton.

The master plan outlines OPRHP's vision for potential capital improvements, operational enhancements and natural and cultural resource stewardship within the park for the next ten to fifteen years. Factors such as the availability of funding, the need to invest in rehabilitation of existing park infrastructure, and other pressing needs in the entire state parks system will influence the feasibility and timing of the improvements.

The draft plan is available at http://nysparks.com/inside-our-agency/master-plans.aspx. Plans are also available for public viewing at the Grafton Community Library, 2455 NY 2, Grafton, NY 12082 and the Troy Public Library, 100 2nd Street, Troy, NY 12180, and the park and regional offices.

For those who cannot make it to the meeting, written comments can be sent by December 16 to:
