Within the Buffalo metropolitan area, the park offers a beautiful, one-mile long natural sand beach with lovely panoramic views and spectacular sunsets on the lake. Woodlawn Beach supports a diversity of wildlife habitats including one of the finest freshwater sand dune areas remaining on Lake Erie. Recreational opportunities are plentiful and include picnicking, beach volleyball and nature trails.
An interpretive nature boardwalk through wooded wetlands will guide you to the beach. A unique special events space is available for parties and other gatherings; please call 716-824-3500 for further information.

Pet Policy: PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE BEACH, playgrounds, buildings and boardwalk. (this does not apply to service animals). A maximum of two pets are allowed in day use areas (picnic grove and trails) unless prohibited by sign or directive. Pets are to be supervised at all times and either be crated or on a leash not more than 6-feet in length. Proof of rabies inoculation shall be produced if requested by staff.
