Woodlawn Beach State Park restrooms will be closing 9/16/24 due to construction.

Ladders to the Outdoors - programming and activities connecting Western New York youth with the outdoorsWoodlawn Beach State Park is located on the eastern-most terminus of Lake Erie. Within the Buffalo metropolitan area, the park offers a beautiful, one-mile long natural sand beach with lovely panoramic views and spectacular sunsets on the lake. Woodlawn Beach supports a diversity of wildlife habitats including one of the finest freshwater sand dune areas remaining on Lake Erie. Recreational opportunities are plentiful and include picnicking, and nature trails.
An interpretive nature boardwalk through wooded wetlands will guide you to the beach. Please call 716-549-1050 for guided hikes and events with our interpretative team.

Pet Policy: PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE BEACH, playgrounds, buildings and boardwalk. (this does not apply to service animals).
A maximum of two pets are allowed in day use areas (picnic grove and trails) unless prohibited by sign or directive. Pets are to be supervised at all times and either be crated or on a leash not more than 6-feet in length. Proof of rabies inoculation shall be produced if requested by staff.

Mid May weekends only, starting May 18th.
June 1st - Labor Day, daily, 11am - 6:45 pm for swimming.
Beach access is available dawn to dusk.
