Tent camping not for you? Why not rent one of the 800 cabins available! While still offering the appeal of the great outdoors, cabins keep some of the modern comforts at hand. Cabins can sleep between 2 and 8 people. Basic cabins offer a least one room, electric, table, chairs, sleeping bed/cot, stove and refrigerator. Prime cabins offer full bath, living room, small kitchen and separate bedroom(s).

During peak season cabins are rented on a weekly basis and in some locations open year round. In general, peak season runs from the fourth Friday in June to the last Sunday before Labor Day weekend. Reservations during this time are subject to a 7-day minimum stay for cabins. All other times are considered non-peak season and may require a 2-night stay in some parks. Please note: Mills- Norrie and Newtown Battlefield State Parks have a 2-night minimum all year long.

Deciding where to camp? Our parks offer a remarkable diversity of natural settings, views of the mighty Hudson River in the Taconic and Palisades regions; cascading waterfalls, deep gorges and amazing canyons in the Finger Lakes, Genesee and Niagara regions; lake-side views in the Central, Saratoga and Thousand Island regions, and vast wilderness in Allegany.
