Meet in main parking area of Rockefeller State Park Preserve. Please note that Apr through Oct there is a $6/car fee collected by state parks payable at automated kiosk by credit card after entry. Come along with us on our free weekly birding walks at local birding hotspots. Beginners encouraged. Walk begins 7:30am at the Pocantico/Sleepy Hollow Road entrance of Rockefeller State Park Preserve. Come birding with us! Call or email SMRA for directions and if you want to borrow a pair of binoculars for the walk otherwise no RSVP needed. We go rain or shine! ROAD DIRECTIONS to Sleepy Hollow Road Trails Entrance to RSPP at the intersection of Route 117 and Route 448, turn S onto Rte. 448. Make immediate RIGHT onto Old Sleepy Hollow Road and follow for ~1.6 miles, Old Sleepy Hollow Road crosses under Rte. 117 and then is alongside 117. Continue to "T" intersection stop sign. Turn left onto Sleepy Hollow Rd Extension. Cross back under Rte. 117 and continue for about 1/3 mile. Look for other cars parked just before the trail crossing either side of road. Meet at trail kiosk just downhill from Sleepy Hollow Rd Ext.
