In Niagara Falls State Park, (per FAA rule 14 CFR 93 Sub E), there is a flight restriction in the vicinity of Niagara Falls State Park that amounts to a No Fly Zone. All flights below 3,500 feet are restricted, Therefore, UAS are prohibited in Niagara Falls State Park. No permit will be issued.

Pet Policy: A maximum of two pets are allowed in day use areas unless prohibited by sign or directive. Pets are to be supervised at all times and either be crated or on a leash not more than 6-feet in length. Proof of rabies inoculation shall be produced if requested by staff. Pets are not permitted in playgrounds, buildings, golf courses, boardwalks, pools and spray-grounds or guarded beaches (this does not apply to service animals).

Fees & Rates

Most New York State Parks charge a vehicle use fee to enter the facility. Fees vary by location and season. A list of entry fees and other park use fees is available below. For fees not listed or to verify information, please contact the park directly.

The easy-to-use Empire Pass card is $80- and your key to all-season enjoyment with unlimited day-use entry at most facilities operated by State Parks and the State Dept. of Environmental Conservation including forests, beaches, trails and more.   • Special Note: Visitors to Niagara Falls State Park must either locate the lot attendant or bring their parking ticket and pass to the Visitor Center (for Lot 1) or the Cave of the Winds Plaza Ticketing/Information window (for Lot 2) to have it validated for the free parking.

Married with Pride event to celebrate WorldPride, Stonewall 50

Niagara County Pride, a program of the Pride Center of Western New York, is proud to announce a mass LGBTQ+ wedding event atop the mighty Niagara Falls in celebration of WorldPride and Stonewall 50.

Married with Pride will take place at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30 in Niagara Falls State Park. The event aims to celebrate marriage equality in the "Honeymoon Capital of the World."

Couples interested in getting hitched or renewing their vows alongside other LGBTQ+ pairs need to simply bring their marriage certificate and/or vows to the park. A special guest officiant will celebrate couples beginning or continuing their lives together.

Following the ceremony, all are invited to the street festival outside Hard Rock Cafe Niagara Falls, USA for the Rainbow Reception (6 to 9 p.m.) featuring music and drag performances. The party is free and open to the public. Food and drinks will be available for purchase and information tables featuring community partners will be there as well.

The New York State Parks Department will illuminate Niagara Falls in rainbow colors at 10 p.m. to commemorate the event along with a fireworks display.

Parking is free at Niagara Falls state Park for couples participating in the ceremony.
