The Silver Mine area of Harriman State Park offers picnic grounds, fishing and hiking.

Highland Lakes State Park consists of more than 3,000 acres of undeveloped woods and lakes. Visitors use the park for fishing, hiking, horseback riding and flying model planes.

The park is situated in the rugged mountains rising from the west bank of the Hudson River. Experience the spectacular views offered from the summit of Bear Mountain.

The Area, located in Harriman State Park, lies in a wooded valley. Facilities include picnic areas with fireplaces, playing fields and cross-country ski and hiking trails.

Blauvelt State Park is 590 acres of forested green space in Rockland County. Hiking trails provide the only access and afford spectacular views of the Hudson Valley.

Goosepond Mountain State Park is 1,558 acres of undeveloped open space. Almost completely wooded, the park is open to hikers and horseback riders.

Lake Sebago Beach in Harriman State Park is surrounded by lawns, fields and picnic areas. In addition to swimming from the sandy beach, anglers can fish for bass, perch and sunfish.

The park is comprised of pristine natural refuge amidst of one of the nation's most densely populated areas, remarkable woodland, and a tremendous outdoor recreation area.

High Tor is a day-use facility for picnicking, swimming and hiking, offering spectacular views of the Hudson River. The Long Path passes through the park on its course inland.

Located on a ridge of Hook Mountain above the Hudson River the park offers swimming pools, a picnic area, boat launch, and hiking trails with breathtaking views of the Hudson Valley.

Lake Superior State Park has beaches, fishing, boat launches and picnic areas. The park is managed by Sullivan County under license from the Palisades Interstate Park Commission.

Beaver Pond Campgrounds adjoin the Lake Welch Recreation Area within Harriman State Park and include a variety of camping accommodations and facilities.

Lake Tiorati was formed by combining two ponds into one large lake. Surrounded by meadows and rolling, wooded hills, the park offers swimming, fishing, boating and picnicking.

Tallman Mountain State Park comprises wooded country on the easterly slope of the Palisades uplands and is a day-use area, offering a variety of outdoor recreation activities.

Located on the Shawangunk Mountain ridge is one of the most unique and beautiful parks in New York State. It features numerous waterfalls, lakes, and stunning cliff-edge views.

Man-made Lake Welch, boasting a half-mile-long sandy beach in the wooded hills of the Ramapo Mountains, became the large lake that it is today when a dam was completed in 1942.

The second-largest park in the parks system boasts 31 lakes and reservoirs, 200 miles of hiking trails, three beaches, camping areas, and a network of scenic views and sites.

Storm King State Park is an undeveloped park offering unsurpassed views of the Catskills and the Hudson Valley. Hikers and hunters enjoy this undisturbed green space.

Nyack Beach State Park boasts 61 acres of riverfront along the Hudson in Rockland County. The most popular activities are picnicking, hiking, bicycling and fishing.
