Acres of undeveloped hardwood forest terminating on the high bluff overlooking Long Island Sound provides the scenic background for swimming, camping, picnicking and fishing.

Hilly woodlands, a deep gorge with rugged cliffs, three waterfalls and fascinating rock formations comprise the park offering camping, hiking and swimming in a stream-fed pool.

Located on Lake Sebago the camp offers rustic cabins and full service cottages and gives access to all the amenities Harriman State Park has to offer.

Hudson River and Schodack Creek shoreline bound the 1,052-acre site. The park has been designated a State Estuary, as well as a Bird Conservation Area.

Saratoga Lake State Boat Launch, located on Route 9P on beautiful Saratoga Lake, is open year-round and has parking capacity for up to 100 trailers.

The scenic dunes found at the park were formed by a giant inland sea that preceded Lake Ontario and is part of the only freshwater dune site in the northeastern United States.

Located on Seneca Lake the park was once a military training base before becoming an area of grasses, wildflowers, shrubs and trees on flat, rolling woodlands surrounding ravines.

Visitors will delight in the outdoor activities offered at the ever growing haven of open space in Westchester County known as Rockefeller State Park Preserve.

Commissioned in 1847, the fifty-foot Rock Island Lighthouse was one of six lights built along the St. Lawrence River to guide traffic to and from Lake Ontario. After a lengthy restoration process, it will reopen to the public in the summer of 2013.

Robert H. Treman is an area of wild beauty, with the rugged Enfield Glen gorge as its scenic highlight scattered with 12 waterfalls, including the 115-foot Lucifer Falls.

Located on a former estate the park boasts 1,100 acres and over 17,000 ft of beautiful Lake Ontario shoreline. The extremely private residential compound is available for rental.

Inspired by Japanese urban rooftop designs Riverbank is a one of a kind facility. Rising above the Hudson River, the park offers a variety of recreational, athletic and arts experiences.

Reservoir State Park is a favorite of local residents in Niagara County. The park offers a variety of sports facilities including tennis, baseball, roller hockey, soccer, and softball.

The northwestern shore of Lake Champlain offers a mixture of open and forested areas, most of them natural and undeveloped providing the stage for a variety of outdoor activities.

A picturesque 50-foot waterfall is the main attraction at this scenic park. It also features steep, wooded hills, mountain stream and a nature trail.

Peebles Island offers spectacular river and rapids views for walkers and joggers who take advantage of the miles of paths through the gently rolling and wooded landscape. Picnickers and fishermen come to relax and winter visitors use the facilities to cross-country ski, hike and snowshoe.

The park's 45,000 feet of frontage on Gardiner's Bay and rare maritime forest with red cedar, black-jack oak trees and prickly-pear cactus offer swimming, fishing and hiking.

A 55-acre Arctic Lake located amidst rolling, wooded hills has a sand beach for swimmers, and great fishing for anglers. Camping is available as is a full service vacation rental.

The park offers fabulous views of the Hudson River. It also boasts the Dinsmore golf course, one of the oldest public golf courses in the country, where patrons can play 9 or 18 holes.

Oak Orchard State Marine Park is a boat launch facility on Lake Ontario with fishing access and picnic areas.

Nyack Beach State Park boasts 61 acres of riverfront along the Hudson in Rockland County. The most popular activities are picnicking, hiking, bicycling and fishing.

The north shore of Long Island offers a variety of habitats including tidal and fresh water wetlands and hardwood forests to the park's shore birds, reptiles and amphibians.

Home to the mighty Niagara Falls. The oldest state park in the United States offers numerous islands, famous Prospect Point area and many unique views of the world famous falls.

A pristine granite monument marks the site of the 1779 hillside battle between The Continental Army and British regulars, Loyalist rangers and 1000 Iroquois Indian warriors.

Located on the Shawangunk Mountain ridge is one of the most unique and beautiful parks in New York State. It features numerous waterfalls, lakes, and stunning cliff-edge views.

Featuring the picturesque Mine Kill Falls in the scenic Schoharie Valley, Mine Kill State Park overlooks the NY Power Authority's Blenheim-Gilboa Pumped Storage Power Project.

Mary Island State Park comprises 12 heavily-wooded acres with steep rocky outcroppings offering seclusion and spectacular views of the Canadian shore or the shipping channel.

Located along the East River in Brooklyn the park offers visitors a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline, and its green space offers opportunities for recreation and relaxation.

Mark Twain State Park is the home of one of the most scenic and challenging 18-hole courses in the area. The 18-holes are marked by glacial features such as "kettle ponds".

Located just outside the Adirondack Park along the Salmon River's course toward Lake Champlain, the park has a wilderness atmosphere and offers swimming in man-made Davis Pond.

Long Point, which juts peninsula-like into Lake Chautauqua, is one of the moraines left long ago by a retreating glacier and features a thickly-wooded marina and day-use area.

Situated on a peninsula facing Chaumont Bay on Lake Ontario the park is in a remote area, almost completely surrounded by water and offers a peaceful, relaxing camping experience.

Located on the shore of Cayuga Lake the park provides boat launch facilities, a beach with swimming area, picnic areas, fishing access and a full service vacation rental.

Lodi Point Marine Park is a boat launch and picnic site. The park has modest accommodations for boaters, picnickers and anglers.

The "Grand Canyon of the East," Letchworth is one of the most magnificent areas in the eastern U.S. Waterfalls, cliffs, and a deep gorge are just some of the parks stunning features.

The park offers outstanding panoramic views of Lake Ontario and surrounding farms and fruit orchards. Camping, hiking, fishing, and picnicking bring thousands to Lakeside Beach.

Man-made Lake Welch, boasting a half-mile-long sandy beach in the wooded hills of the Ramapo Mountains, became the large lake that it is today when a dam was completed in 1942.

Lake Tiorati was formed by combining two ponds into one large lake. Surrounded by meadows and rolling, wooded hills, the park offers swimming, fishing, boating and picnicking.

Located next to Lake Taghkanic in the rolling hills and lush forests of Columbia County, the park offers activities including swimming, hiking, fishing, boating and camping.

Lake Superior State Park has beaches, fishing, boat launches and picnic areas. The park is managed by Sullivan County under license from the Palisades Interstate Park Commission.

Lake Sebago Beach in Harriman State Park is surrounded by lawns, fields and picnic areas. In addition to swimming from the sandy beach, anglers can fish for bass, perch and sunfish.

A narrow peninsula flanked by Goose Bay and the St. Lawrence River the park offers a picturesque location for camping, fishing, boating, swimming and picnicking.

Situated on a former country estate the park is adjacent to the historic village of East Aurora. The park features a variety of habitats and is home to several species of farm animals.

The heart of wine country offers a gentle charm. Views of vineyard-covered slopes, glimmering water and clear blue sky provide a backdrop for a variety of outdoor activities.

The St. Lawrence River location offers excellent boating, fishing and winter activities. Steep, rocky outcroppings provide views of ocean-going vessels traversing the river.

Fields, woodlands and ponds provide the landscape for the wide variety of recreation. Fishing, hiking, and frisbee disc golf are just some of the activities offered by the park.

Featuring a boardwalk and over 6 miles of ocean beach Jones Beach State Park is a world-class swimming destination. The park also features the Theodore Roosevelt Nature Center.

Situated on farmland James Baird State Park has much to offer. An 18-hole golf course compliments the spacious open and wooded, hiking trails, sports complex, and nature center.

A sheltered bay protects the sandy swimming beach and campers dock. Unlimited boating opportunities, large open lawns and excellent fishing draw many visitors to the park.

Irondequoit Bay Marine Park is a launch site for small and power boats providing fishing access to Lake Ontario. It has a small toilet facility and a boat clean out station.

Accessible only by boat, the islands of Gay's Point and Stockport Middle Ground are home to many rare and endangered plant and animal species providing a scenic backdrop for Hudson River Islands State Park.

A mostly undeveloped preserve of nearly 6,000 acres, the park consists of a series of separate parcels of land offering activities such as fishing, boating, hiking, and birding.

Honeoye Lake Boat Launch provides a boat launch site, including power boats, and fishing access. There is ice fishing in the winter.

The Atlantic Ocean and the unique "walking dunes" of Napeague Harbor form the border for this scenic park. The park boasts a sandy beach and woodland area for outdoor recreation.

Nestled among the Adirondack foothills on the picturesque Raquette River the park offers hilly and heavily-wooded terrain dotted with spacious campsites and a sandy beach.

Highland Lakes State Park consists of more than 3,000 acres of undeveloped woods and lakes. Visitors use the park for fishing, hiking, horseback riding and flying model planes.

High Tor is a day-use facility for picnicking, swimming and hiking, offering spectacular views of the Hudson River. The Long Path passes through the park on its course inland.

Hempstead Lake State Park boasts three ponds in addition to its namesake lake. An historic hand carved carousel as well as boating and fishing are the park's main attractions.

Twenty miles of trails, swimming in the Great South Bay and boating attract more than a million visitors per year.

The second-largest park in the parks system boasts 31 lakes and reservoirs, 200 miles of hiking trails, three beaches, camping areas, and a network of scenic views and sites.

The Recreation Area provides picnic tables, hiking, cross-country skiing and biking trails. Deer hunting is permitted in season. Small game hunting is not permitted at any time.

Clear water, sandy beaches and tent and trailer campsites entice thousands of visitors each year. 

Jamesport State Park offers nearly 1-mile of pristine beach front on the North Shore of Long Island along the Long Island Sound. Hiking, nature walks and bird watching in available on the eastern portion of the property.

Green Lakes State Park features two glacial lakes surrounded by upland forest. The park also features an 18-hole golf course, as well as 10 miles of trails.

Projecting into the American Channel of the St. Lawrence River the park is known for some of the best fishing in the country. It is a popular spot for campers and day-users.

Located on the forested mountain ridge between the Taconic and Hudson Valleys, the park includes five ponds and 2,357 acres featuring hiking, fishing, swimming, and boating.

Goosepond Mountain State Park is 1,558 acres of undeveloped open space. Almost completely wooded, the park is open to hikers and horseback riders.

Located on the scenic shore of Lake Ontario the park is home to The Thirty Mile Lighthouse. The park offers boating, fishing, hiking, and walking tours of the lighthouse.

Overlooking Otsego Lake the park's rolling, partially-wooded terrain is host to a wide variety of wildlife. The many trails offer picturesque views and a variety of wildlife. Please note alternate directions listed on the main page.

A scenic haven 40 miles from New York City the park offers a day of fun and relaxation. A spacious picnic area, 3,500 person pool, and two lakes are just some of the park's amenities.

Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park is located on Roosevelt Island in New York City. Designed by architect Louis I. Kahn, the park is an inspiring civic space, and free to the public.

Located on the shores of Lake Ontario only 15 minutes from the mighty Niagara Falls the park offers a variety of camping options as well as trails exploring shores and marshlands.

Fort Niagara State Park offers boat access to the Lower Niagara River and Lake Ontario. Adjacent to Old Fort Niagara the park offers hiking, swimming and many other activities.

Fillmore Glen is an oasis of cool, dense woods crowding into a long, narrow gorge. Explore its unique geological formations, five waterfalls, and a botanically rich glen.

Found on Lake Ontario the park boasts one of the finest public lakefronts in upstate New York. Towering shoreline bluffs, sandy beaches and hilly woodlands cover this scenic park.

15 km of groomed, tracked and mapped trails for skiers and snowshoers are located within the State Park. The Park features a warming lodge, rentals, and food services.

An outdoor enthusiast's delight. The park boasts hiking trails, scenic campground, and abundant opportunities for boating, hunting, fishing, and birding.

Evangola State Park features a beautiful arc-shaped shoreline and natural sand beach on Lake Erie. The park also offers picnic facilities, 80 campsites, and playing fields.

A small, secluded park provides a perfect place to get away from it all. The park offers campsites, picnic area as well as boating and fishing on the Oswegatchie River and Black Lake.

A small, rustic park Dewolf Point is perfect for anglers and nature lovers. The park offers a cabin colony, camping area, stone gazebo and dockage for boats on the Lake of the Isles.

Devil's Hole State Park overlooks the Devil's Hole Rapids. The park has picnic areas, scenic overlooks and hiking trails, and is one of the more popular spots for fishing.

DeVeaux Woods State Park has two ball diamonds, a playground, nature trails through a meadow and Old Growth Woods, and a path that leads across the Robert Moses Parkway to Whirlpool State Park with access to the Niagara gorge trail system.

Located on a peninsula extending into Delta Reservoir visitors can enjoy the many picnic areas, or hiking and nature trails. Boating, fishing, and camping are also available.

Dean's Cove Boat Launch is a boat launch site, including power boats, with fishing access. No other facilities.

Darien Lake's varied terrain includes hills, woodlands, ravines, streams and Harlow Lake. The park features campsites as well as a rustic bridge over a channel to Picnic Island.

Located on the west shore of Lake Champlain, the park is a very popular day-use area because of its large natural sand beach and picnic grounds with tables and grills.

The preserve maintains 3,473 acres of land and water for the protection and propagation of game birds, fish and animals. Explore the 50 miles of trails winding through the park.

Conesus Lake Boat Launch provides boaters with access to a day on the water and excellent fishing. The area also has picnic facilities and a public restroom.

The park offers a variety of campsites on Lake St. Lawrence which is ideal for swimming, boating and fishing. A marina on the mouth of Coles Creek lies just north of the park entrance.

The park is comprised of 40 acres of hilly terrain offering scenic vistas of Cold Spring Harbor. It features a mixed hardwood forest, as well as thickets of wild mountain laurel.

The preserve occupies a 260-acre area near the southwest shore of Staten Island. It contains a variety of unique habitats and cultural history, as well as the Interpretive Center.

Clark Reservation is a geologic wonder of the last ice age and a botanist's paradise. The park features rugged cliffs, woodland and meadow, a wetland and a glacial plunge basin lake.

Glacial sculpted 400 million year-old bedrock is responsible for the park's picturesque 167 foot namesake waterfall. Enjoy the views offered by trails winding through the gorge.

Chimney Bluffs features the most dramatic landscape on the Lake Ontario shore. Experience the massive earthen spires while enjoying the park's lakeshore nature trails.

Cherry Plain is located on Black River Pond and offers a variety of outdoor recreation activities. Explore the camping area along with hiking and biking trails.

Chenango Valley is an ice age wonder featuring two glacial lakes. Offering a variety of wildlife, camping, and an 18-hole golf course the park has something for everyone.

Cedar Point is one of the oldest state parks in New York. It is a popular spot, offering excellent camping, fishing, boating and swimming as well as stunning river views.

Taking up half of its island the park is favored by people who appreciate quiet boating, fishing and beautiful scenery. The park offers campsites as well as a day-use and picnic area.

Cayuga Lake is the backdrop for this scenic park. The park offers a variety of aquatic activities from swimming to fishing as well as its many campsites and cabins. 

Situated on a scenic peninsula extending into Long Island Sound this English-style estate offers miles of pathway winding through woodland, meadows, shoreline and salt marsh.

This year round recreation trail provides visitors the opportunity to experience the scenic beauty and historic charm of the glacially-carved valley south of Seneca Lake.

Found at the eastern tip of Jones Beach Island, Captree is a haven for aquatic adventure. Open and charter boats are available for fishing, scuba diving, and sightseeing excursions.

Only accessible by boat the park offers a quiet camping experience in a beautiful wooded area. The park also includes a scenic picnic area as well as excellent fishing.

Canandaigua Lake Marine Park is a boat launch facility and provides fishing access to Canandaigua Lake.

Camp Hero offers pristine maritime forests, freshwater wetlands, stunning ocean vistas and dramatic bluffs rising from the beach, as well as an historic military instillation.

Boasting acres of undeveloped landscape the park allows visitors to explore many different habitats including freshwater wetlands, ponds, streams, fields and upland woods.

Taking its name from the foaming cascade formed by Buttermilk Creek the park offers hiking, swimming and camping as well as the scenic Larch Meadows glen and wetland area.

Burnham Point is small and quiet with lightly-wooded campsites. The river offers boaters the chance to explore local towns, islands and historic sites for miles on each side.

Buffalo Harbor State Park offers beautiful views of Lake Erie. The park is home to a 1,000 slip marina, a restaurant, boat launches, personal watercraft launches, fish cleaning station, restrooms, and a beach for strolling and sunbathing.

The vast marshlands and meadows of Buckhorn Island border the Niagara River. Explore the nature trails or spend the day fishing or cross-country skiing depending on the season.

Brookhaven State Park is 1,638-acres and is part of the central core of the Long Island Pine Barrens. The Park runs along the east side William Floyd Parkway north of Whiskey Road, and between NY 25 and NY 25A.

Known as "a camper's paradise", Bowman Lake is comprised of scenic forests housing a multi-season trail system as well as its namesake lake, perfect for swimming and sunbathing.    No Ice fishing is permitted.

This 9-hole course offers spectacular views over Seneca Lake as well as a full service clubhouse and restaurant and shaded picnic area.

Blauvelt State Park is 590 acres of forested green space in Rockland County. Hiking trails provide the only access and afford spectacular views of the Hudson Valley.

Big Six Mile Creek Marina State Park provides a boat launch for boating and fishing access, 134 seasonal boat slips, gasoline and oil sales, ice and pump out service.

This scenic park is blanketed by a forest of hardwoods intermixed with smaller areas of conifer plantation. The hilltop location provides expansive views to the south and west.

Offering five world-class golf courses, including the world-renowned Black Course, Bethpage was the site of the 2002 and 2009 U.S. Open Golf Championships.

Belmont Lake State Park is a full service park offering boating, fishing, picnicking, playing fields, biking, horseback riding, hiking and cross-country skiing.

Beaver Pond Campgrounds adjoin the Lake Welch Recreation Area within Harriman State Park and include a variety of camping accommodations and facilities.

Located at the south end of Grand Island the park boasts a wide range of outdoor activities.  Enjoy the park's 18-hole golf course, swimming and boating facilities, or trail systems.
